ABOUT

Josh's artistic obsessions began at an early age.  At first, it was pencil or paintbrush always at the ready.  When his high school art mentor entrusted Josh with his old Nikon, so began his enduring love affair with cameras.  Not long after that, Josh got a taste of filmmaking, concurrently developed a passion for documentary, and was soon shaping his vision for visual storytelling in a way that felt true to his sensibility.

Through his fruitful years as a DP, Josh has continued to build a body of captivating still images. Meanwhile, a new obsession emerged: finding old and rusty things, the more ragged and tattered, the better- little bits of unwanted nostalgia.  At some point it struck him to bring these two passions together by creating new-old art pieces that mix archived images and found objects, honoring his acuity for visual storytelling by framing these captured images within the salvaged materials.
